What does it really look like to love our neighbor in light of Christ’s return? In Romans 13:8–10, Paul calls believers to owe nothing but love—a love that goes beyond obligation and reflects the heart of Christ. This kind of love isn't passive; it's active, sacrificial, and central to fulfilling God’s law.
What does love look like in action? Not passive. Not selective. Radical love—the kind that fulfills the law, reflects Jesus, and refuses to repay evil for evil.
💥 This love:
✔ Disarms hate
✔ Dismantles pride
✔ Points enemies to Christ
🕊️ In a world full of division, we owe only one debt: love.
We are reminded that this love ethic is not rooted in worldly definitions but in Jesus’ example—love that is patient, kind, and merciful, even to those who oppose or inconvenience us. As we live in the tension of the “already but not yet,” awaiting Christ’s return, we are to live daily with urgency and compassion, embodying a love that points to God’s kingdom.
Loving our neighbor is not abstract. It’s intentional—loving the person who cuts us off, the one we disagree with, the hurting, the overlooked. It’s the mark of a true Christian and the testimony the world needs. As Francis Schaeffer wrote, “The church must be a loving church in a dying culture.”
Gospel Response: If Jesus fulfilled the law by loving us completely, how can we reflect His love today—by showing mercy, extending grace, and loving others the way He loved us?
📖 “Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Love, therefore, is the fulfillment of the law.” —Romans 13:10 (CSB)

Can you trust God enough to submit to imperfect authority? Paul says yes—because God is over the government. God institutes authority to create order, which is a blessing in a world marked by sin. While governments may fail, God does not. Submission does not mean silence in the face of injustice—it means honoring God’s design while trusting Him to bring justice in His time. We obey government unless it directly contradicts God’s Word (Acts 5:29), and even then, we respond with courage, humility, and gospel truth.
✅ He places leaders.
✅ He brings justice.
✅ He alone is worthy of our ultimate hope.
Gospel Response: Romans 13:1–7 challenges our modern assumptions about power, politics, and allegiance. In this passage, Paul reminds believers that God is over the government, and therefore, submitting to governing authorities is ultimately an act of trust and worship toward God, not blind obedience to people. So pay taxes. Show honor. But worship God alone—not the donkey, not the elephant, but the Lamb who was slain.
📖 “Let everyone submit to the governing authorities, since there is no authority except from God.” —Romans 13:1

Ep 230 - SERMON - Romans: What does real love look like? Romans 12:9-21

What does sincere love look like in a world full of pride, pain, and revenge? How do we live and love in a way that reflects the heart of Christ? Not fake, not proud, not passive. But genuine, humble, fierce, and kind.
❤️ Love that outdoes in honor.
🙏 Love that prays through pain.
🤝 Love that shows up for strangers—and even enemies.
📖 “Let love be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good… Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.” —Romans 12:9, 21
Gospel Response: Paul moves from the spiritual gifts of the body to the defining characteristic of the Christian life: love—a love that is genuine, humble, and countercultural. This kind of love cannot be faked or forced. It must come from a renewed heart—one transformed by Christ.
This is radical love: Not the kind that plays it safe, but the kind that disarms hate, dismantles pride, and points enemies to Jesus.
Why live this way? Because Jesus loved us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). He bore injustice without retaliating and laid down His life for us. His love changes us, and through us, He changes the world.

How are you using your gifts to serve the Body of Christ? Are you sitting on the sidelines—or stepping into the role God has given you? You are gifted by God… not for your own spotlight, but for the Body of Christ. You’re one part of a bigger story. And when every part works together, the church grows in strength and love.
Paul says:
✅ Be humble—don’t think more or less of yourself.
✅ Be active—use your gift for God’s glory.
✅ Be unified—we belong to each other.
Gospel Response: In light of God’s mercy, Paul says not only to live as a sacrifice (v.1–2), but also to think rightly about yourself and your place in the church (v.3–8). You are not the center of the story—but you are part of the body. And the body needs every part to function.
You have been given gifts—spiritual, unique, God-ordained—not for self-promotion but for building up the church. Whether it’s teaching, encouraging, giving, leading, or serving—your gift matters.
👉 So walk in humility, not comparison.
👉 Walk in boldness, not hesitation.
👉 And remember: Your purpose is not found in isolation—it’s found in connection, service, and grace-driven contribution. Y
ou’re not meant to sit the bench. You’re called to play your part.

Worship isn’t just a Sunday song—it’s a surrendered life. Paul says: In view of God’s mercy…Offer your body, be transformed by the renewing of your mind, and live as a living sacrifice.
This is what real worship looks like. Not conformed. But transformed. Because Jesus didn’t just die to save you—He rose to change you.

Can you trust God when you don’t understand Him? Paul says YES. Not because life is simple—but because God is wise, rich in mercy, and sovereign in all things.
📖 “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever.” – Romans 11:36
Gospel Response: Stop counseling God. Start worshiping Him. You don’t have to know the plan—just trust the One who does. Faith means trusting God is good even when life isn’t. You’re not asked to figure everything out—you’re invited to worship the One who already has.

Who’s the farthest from God that you know? Romans says: Don’t count them out. God’s not done. Grace still works. Resurrection power is real. 🙌 Let your life in Christ attract, not repel. Show others not what they lack, but what they can gain in Jesus: resurrection, renewal, and belonging in the family of God.
📖 “God has the power to graft them in again.” —Romans 11:23
Gospel Response: Your story could be the spark for someone else’s salvation. Romans 11 shows us that God’s plan is bigger, deeper, and more gracious than we can imagine. Even in rejection, He is working redemption. The Jews' rejection led to the Gentiles’ inclusion—but now God calls Gentile believers to live in a way that draws Jews (and others) back to Him.
Paul reminds us:
💬 Don’t be arrogant. You were grafted in by grace.
💬 Don’t be ignorant. God’s plan is still unfolding.
💬 Let your life attract—not distract—from the gospel.

Is anyone ever too far gone for God’s grace? 🕊️ Have you given up on someone—or even yourself—thinking, “God can’t reach them (or me) anymore”? Salvation is not a reward for trying hard, being moral, or cleaning yourself up. It is grace—completely undeserved, unearned, and unconditional. Even when we are blind, deaf, rebellious, and lost, God is not finished. He patiently pursues and powerfully saves. Grace means Jesus did it all, and we simply believe and receive.
Gospel Response: So don’t give up. Not on yourself. Not on others. God’s mercy can overcome even the deepest rejection. Romans 11 reminds us that God's grace is never based on our goodness but on His faithfulness. Paul, once a persecutor of Christians, is living proof that no one is beyond God’s reach. Just as God preserved a faithful remnant in Elijah’s day, He is still preserving and pursuing hearts today.
✅ If He could rescue Paul, He can rescue you.
✅ If He preserved a remnant in Elijah’s day, He’s preserving one now.
✅ If you feel alone in your faith—He sees you.
📖 “If by grace, then it is not by works. Otherwise grace ceases to be grace.” —Romans 11:6

Who will preach the gospel to the people around you? Your coworkers, neighbors, teammates, and even family—how will they hear unless someone tells them? You may feel unqualified, untrained, or afraid—but Paul reminds us: the power is not in the preacher, but in the message. Our job is to be faithful messengers. God handles the results.
Gospel Response: God’s plan of salvation is simple yet stunning: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Rom. 10:13)
➡️ But how will they call on Him unless they believe?
➡️ How will they believe unless they hear?
➡️ How will they hear unless someone preaches? That someone is you.
So go. Preach. Love. Share. You’re not saved by preaching—you preach because you’re saved. Let’s live on mission and make it known: Jesus lived. Jesus died. Jesus rose. So they can live too.
📖 Romans 10:14–15 | Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Ep 223 - SERMON - Romans: Who is truly Lord of your life? Romans 9:30 – 10:13
Wednesday Jun 18, 2025
Wednesday Jun 18, 2025
Who is truly Lord of your life? Is it Jesus—or something else silently calling the shots (fear, addiction, approval, success)? “Jesus is Lord.” It’s more than a phrase—it’s a declaration that reorders your entire life. So… what (or who) has been calling the shots?
🕊️ Salvation isn’t about earning.
🗣️ It’s about believing and confessing.
💥 Freedom comes when Jesus is Lord and everything else bows.
📖 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” —Romans 10:13
Gospel Response: Jesus is not just a rescuer from sin; He is Lord. In a world full of idols and personal "lords" demanding our allegiance, Paul calls us to a radical shift: confess with your mouth “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. (Rom. 10:9).
Salvation means freedom—from guilt, shame, and the slavery of sin. It’s not earned. It’s not deserved. It’s received by faith in the One who fulfilled the law, gave up His life, rose in power, and now freely gives His righteousness to all who believe.
